Drive to the Storforsen, the longest rapids in Europe at Piteälven. With a width of about 50 m, a length of about 500 m and a height difference of about 80 m, up to 1000 m3 of water per second rolls talwärz. Very impressive in every season. In the snow-free time many fireplaces invite you to stay. In the nature reserve there is also a forest workers museum. Storforsen never freezes completely, not even in winter.
In good snow-free weather there is the possibility to roast at one of the numerous fireplaces or to enjoy lunch from the buffet in the hotel over lunch.
