Moose reindeer safari
On this tour you will have the opportunity to see elk, the king of the forest, the largest wildlife in Europe in the wild. Take a place in the sleigh pulled by the snowmobile over a trail through the forest. Start at Kåta where there is a small Nordic snack. Now the feeding sites in the forest are driven off and with a little luck we see moose. There are usually about 18 animals in the area. Partly only about 20m away, sometimes well hidden behind the trees or a little shy and run away. You get a lot of information about the animal and its habitat. To warm up, go to the Grillkåta where the fire is already burning. Now there is a delicious lunch and coffee. It's not a moose park, so there's no fences, and they're all wild, wild moose. There is therefore no guarantee. But we have never been on a tour without seeing an elk.
This tour is only possible from about the end of December to the end of March.
Now we go for a short visit to the reindeer who are in the coral. You will experience some of these droll animals up close. We are allowed to feed them with lichens and some can even be petted. You will get some information about these 4 legs of the North and the traditional way of life and culture of the Sami and work throughout the year with the reindeer.
