Together with the photographer Lars Rässä Discover the most beautiful subjects and learn to capture special light moods, animals, landscapes and northern lights with your camera.
This is not only about perfect photos – but about real experiences.
With the snowmobile through snowy forests, huskies in front of the camera, watching moose in the wild or standing at night on the frozen lake and waiting for Lady Auroa to suddenly dance in the sky.
One week of Lapland. A small group. Countless photo opportunities.
In collaboration with SIGMA
We are particularly pleased that SIGMA as a new partner of our aurora photo tour To be welcomed.
Photography with SIGMA
A special highlight of this photo tour:
Our partner SIGMA provides us with selected lenses that you can try out during the photo tour and test in real conditions.
Not in the photo studio – but where it matters:
with auroras, in deep snowy landscapes and in wildlife photography in Lapland.
So you have the opportunity to get to know different focal lengths and find out which lens best suits your subject and your way of photographing.
Together with Lars, you can use and compare the lenses directly in practice.

Your photography journey – this is waiting for you
A week full of special winter experiences and extraordinary photo opportunities.
Our program takes you to some of the most beautiful places around Wilderness Life and deep into the winter countryside of Swedish Lapland. We consciously allow ourselves enough time to take pictures.
The exact process remains flexible: Weather, light and auroras determine our daily schedule. Because sometimes the best photo motif is not planable.
Winter landscapes and magical light
On the Akkanalkke you have a fantastic view over the vastness of Lapland. Snowy forests, icy lakes, low winter sun and the special pastel colors of the short Arctic days constantly offer new motifs.
Together we look for special perspectives and lighting moods and take the time to consciously photograph the winter landscape.
Northern Lights and Night Photography
When the sky is clear and the conditions are right, it goes out on auroras.
Directly at Wilderness Life, we have an almost unobstructed view of the sky from the frozen lake – ideal conditions for northern light photography.
From delicate green to pink and violet to intense red hues, the sky can change completely within minutes.
Lars helps you with camera settings, image setup, focusing and exposure time so you’re ready for that special moment.
Of course, we cannot guarantee Northern Lights – but when they come, we want to be ready.
Huskys on camera
Our huskies belong to Wilderness Life – and of course also to this photo trip.
With your own photo shoot you have enough time for portraits, detailed shots and natural pictures of our dogs in the snow.
In addition, you will experience the huskies on a sleigh passenger ride through the snowy winter landscape – an experience in which the camera can take a break in between.
Elk and Reindeer
Wildlife photography is one of the special highlights of this trip.
The animals live freely and move without fences in their natural environment – accordingly, each encounter is different.
Afterwards we visit reindeer, get close to the animals and learn more about life with the reindeer and the year in Lapland.
Storforsen & Eiswelten
Another photographic highlight is the Storforsen am Piteälven.
In winter, bizarre ice formations, frozen water worlds and extraordinary structures are created around the enormous rapids – perfect motifs for landscape and detail photography.
Snowmobiling adventures
With the snowmobile it goes through deep snowed forests and over frozen lakes.
The tour is not just a trip from A to B. We deliberately plan photo stops and look for beautiful winter motifs and special lighting moods on the way.
With snowshoes through the winter forest
Away from the roads we discover Lapland very slowly.
With snowshoes it goes through deep snowy forests in search of small and large motifs accompanied by our huskies.
